Just got done with my last bit of rewriting of ACHILLES for the living room read this Sunday! I’m excited… Yes I have an obscene amount of people on the stage… Yes it’s 136 pages…. And no, I don’t have a title for it yet… But this beast will be read, and I need your help to hear it! If you’re free, and able to get to Pacifica this Sunday at 6pm (we’ll be having a potluck at 6, then reading at 7), please email me!

Yesterday I was notified that my ten minute play Horny Like The Wolf will be read on April 9th down in San Jose’s City Lights Theater Company. Horny Like The Wolf will join 6 other short plays for an evening of staged readings. And there will be a talk back with the playwrights after. For those of you who missed the reading at Masquers Playhouse you have another chance at seeing this hilarious play! More details to come as they are announced, so stay tuned!

Martha Rynberg is going to take on Patricia Milton’s solo piece Kitty’s Prescription.
Preforming the solo piece Missing: A Cat Play by Susan Sobeloff as well as the solo piece from Tracy Held Potter will be Colleen Egan.
Ramya Vijayan will preform the monologue It’s Not You, It’s Me by me, Rachel Bublitz.
Maura Halloran will preform her solo piece, Pussy, and Theresa Donahoe will be preforming her solo piece, Cat Nanny 911!.

We’re calling our collaboration….

We are ready to shout announce the playwrights for this year’s All Terrain Theater’s Women In Solodarity: Cat Ladies show. Here are the playwrights with pieces in this year’s show:
Maura Halloran will be performing a section of her solo show Pussy that was featured in last year’s DIVAfest. Theresa Donahoe will also be performing a solo piece that she has written. And our wonderful writers who have contributed pieces that actors will perform include, Tracy Held Potter, Carol Lashof, Patricia Milton, Susan Sobeloff, and me, Rachel Bublitz.
I am also directing this year, something that I’m both excited and terrified about. It’s been about… Seven years since I’ve directed something. I’m very grateful that I’ve been given this opportunity to get my directing groove back. Let’s hope it’s just like riding a bike!
Earlier today we had auditions for All Terrain Theater’s upcoming showcase Women In Solodarity: Cat Ladies. And while I’m not ready to announce the cast, I will announce to the world how happy I am with auditions! We had some powerhouse performers come in and it’s sad that we had to say no to anyone. The other great part of this morning was that for the first time I got to hear these fresh new pieces out loud, and let me tell you, the writing this year is excellent… And I’m not just saying that because I wrote one of the monologues… I guarantee that you will not want to miss this show.

Seeking female actors to perform solo pieces and monologues in All Terrain Theater’s second annual Women in Solodarity showcase. All Terrain Theater is committed to promoting new works by local playwrights featuring strong and interesting female characters. This year’s showcase theme is “Cat Ladies,” showcasing the original work of Maura Halloran, Rachel Bublitz, Carol Lashof, Patricia Milton, Theresa Donahoe, Tracy Held Potter, and more.
We’re looking for women of all ethnicities and ages (over 18) who can perform monologues as well as solo performances featuring multiple characters played by the same actor (non-equity). Actors will be asked to perform off-book for solo performances ranging from 5 to 15 minutes each.
This show is produced in association with the International Home Theater Festival and will be performed at a private residence in Central Berkeley. Please note: our performance venue has cats.

Actors and crew will split revenues from ticket sales and will receive a small travel stipend.
